Dear Colleagues,
As I have already mentioned, we have started a new activity and we are currently preparing a series of projects at the Vienna Medical Association, called EUVEKUS. Our main objectives and goal are to promote and develop the practice of Clinical Ultrasonography in Ambulatory Medicine of various specialties, but with a special interest in Family Medicine. The organization has several subsidiaries in several countries.
In collaboration with Professors from several universities and organizations from both Austria and other European countries, we organize a series of courses: the Point of Care Ultrasonography, FOCUS, FAST workshops at different levels: basic, medium and advanced in English for the Family Physicians(GP′s) from all Europe and not only.
The participants are primary care physicians and other physicians of various specialties (internal medicine, pediatrics, etc.) from Ambulator throughout Europe, and we are connected to the WONCA, EURACT, EGPRN, EURIPA, EFSUMB networks.
The courses will be held in English, organized in two modules with a theoretical part followed by the Hands-On Session and will be under the auspices of EFSUMB (European Federation of Ultrasonography in Medicine and Biology) - Endorsed EFSUMB Courses. This format of Workshops organized by us has already been held at the EUROSON Conference in Poznan (1WS) and at the EURIPA Conference in Israel (four WSs organized by us) and I will send you below the abstract books for your information.

I am convinced that we will share our experience as one of the members of the Family Health Commission of the Romanian Ministry of Health, and one of those who participated in the modernization of the "Family Medicine Residency Training Curriculum" by introducing a new "Module of General Ultrasound ", in order to increase the quality of the medical act in primary care by using modern technologies, that allow us, besides medical thinking and clinical sensations, to see through ultrasounds most of the organs of the human body, thereby increasing the accuracy of the positive and differential diagnosis in the future family doctor's office. Attached you have the Schedule of the future endorsed courses organized by us.
We invite you, as a participants to share with us your opinion about the possibility of using Clinical Ultrasonography as a future practical tool for increasing the quality of the medical act in primary care, and to participate at our Endorsed Course of EFSUMB, which will be held on 22 June 2019, in the Seminarrooms B1+B2, at Medizinische Universität / Universitätzahnklinik Wien, Sensengasse 2a, A-1090 Vienna.
